About Us

Lough Gill Brewery is an independent, family-owned craft brewery based in Sligo. With deep roots in our local community and a passion for brewing bold, characterful beers, we're currently expanding into an exciting new visitor experience and taproom. As we prepare to open our doors, we’re looking for a visitor experience Manager who shares our passion for great beer, warm hospitality, and local storytelling.

Job Purpose

The  Manager will play a key role in shaping first impressions and ensuring every visitor to our brewery leaves with a memorable experience. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who thrives in hospitality and has a genuine enthusiasm for great beer. You’ll manage the day-to-day operations of our taproom and visitor centre, lead a team of staff, and work closely with our marketing, sales, and brewing teams.

 


 

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the daily operations of the Lough Gill Visitor Experience & taproom

  • Schedule, train, and lead taproom staff to deliver excellent customer service

  • Maintain stock levels and cleanliness across bar, retail, and merchandise areas

  • Oversee opening/closing procedures, cash handling, and POS systems

  • Ensure beer quality on tap (correct temperature, pouring quality, freshness)

  • Host and support brewery events & private functions

  • Collaborate with the sales and marketing team to promote taproom activities

  • Manage relationships with food vendors and entertainment partners

  • Monitor guest feedback and lead continuous improvements

  • Act as a Lough Gill brand ambassador sharing our story with pride

 


 

What We’re Looking For

  • 2+ years in a bar, restaurant, or hospitality management role

  • Solid knowledge of artisanal beer, brewing methods, and current trends

  • Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills

  • Positive attitude with a hands-on, solutions-focused mindset

  • Experience running events and/or customer-facing promotions

  • Competency in POS systems and basic reporting software

  • Ability to lift 35–50 lbs and handle kegs with a trolley

  • Must be available evenings and weekends
