Shield reveals what Barrel Aging and Coffee together can achieve. Aged 12 months in American Oak Barrels that previously held both Irish Whiskey and Wheated Bourbon, Shield has absorbed every spirit and woody notes from the casks, it was then infused with a mix of Ethiopian and Guatemalan freshly roasted coffee blend giving this Imperial Stout a supreme mix of flavours that start from a delicate coffee aroma on the nose, followed by rounded roasted and Bourbon notes all mixed in a full bodied texture and velvety mouthfeel due to a generous addition of Oats.
